Ok Colt experts, I have been offered a 6" stainless Colt King Cobra in trade for a 1911 that I have. Are these desirable? ...and roughly what are they worth in excellent condition without the box?
Who knows their Colt wheel guns?

i'm no expert but, less desirable than the python or anaconda. It was basically intended as a less expensive alternative to the Colt Python . I think the other snake guns were hand smithed and fitted and these were production line , desirable to some but just not as expensive.

Not sure I understand it but looking at some on Gun Broker it looks like the KC's are selling / listed about the same or a little than the Anaconda's. I have both in 6" and happen to like the action on the KC much better. You don't give much info on the 1911 you are trading but IMHO you would be happy with the Colt. Just my .02 cents and certainly not an expert.
I had one and sold it long ago. Been kicking myself in the rear ever since. Awesome revolvers that shoot great, wish I had my old one back.

Its basically a Python with MK3 lockwork. Figure in the $900 range with no box. They sell pretty quick at that price. Also dang good shooters.
