Whole house water filtration system recommendations? House is on city water.

My house is on city water and has high mineral content and who knows what else. My kitchen faucet was spraying 10 different directions so I uncrewed the screen at the end of the faucet. There were several white pieces in it (calcium) ?

Anyone recommend a filtration system?

A cartridge filter with a charcoal element and then a water softener should fix 👍
You’ll spend $700-$800 if you diy. The cartridge filter will run you $50 at a big box and a good softener $600 off Amazon….get one with good reviews.
You’re going to lose all your chlorine which will make a difference in your laundry and your fluoride 👍👍

Good choice to filter. Some of the stuff I’ve seen in BFP’s and PRV’s keeps me from drinking any unfiltered water.

With a decent sized cistern you can get water pressure for free as well.

Im not sure.. but I dont think so. Im in the city so i was most concerned about getting rid of chlorine, fluoride and other chemicals.
