Who's ever heard of Chicken Mull?

Never heard of a CHicken Mull before - but it looks pretty good. Chicken Bog is something we do pretty often.

I’m familiar with Chicken Bog 😳

We used to cook a big wash pot of it down on river in fall. Cook up taters onions a chicken and sometimes throw some deer meat or rabbit in there. Grind it up and put in pot with broth from cooking everything and put in a stick of butter a gallon of milk and couple boxes saltine crackers salt pepper and Texas Pete. A man could hurt hisself eating two or three big bowls of that.

At first I was like, "Nah, sounds like chicken soup with too many saltines in it" then after reading your post, I want to make some.

I looked at Paula’s recipe. It actually looks pretty good.
But the chicken bog I ate growing up wasn’t anything to brag about 😩

chicken mull was for the poors growing up,we enjoyed it. Stews were a big part of life. I do it now reckon I 'm a poor still

That recipe looks like Methodist Gumbo.

You know, real gumbo but with all the spiciness taken out of it.
