Why do so many ODT sellers ask for carry license?

To me it doesn't much matter. Some people are just more comfortable seeing an id and who am I to tell them how to sell their property?

It matters immensely to me as you can see. To ask for a form of ID should be more than adequate, to look at People's profile and see the comments should calm their concerns. We are the number one community that should not condone anything that violates the second amendment. Like I said, there's so many other ways. Call them. Talk to them on the phone. Meet them in public places and get the vibe off of them. Use your power of discernment that God has given us. What I'm saying is it a slippery slope that we are happily continuing to help frost over. It's their property. You're right if they want you to bend over and kiss your butt before selling it to you, it's there prerogative. But what I'm saying is the ODT community should push back against concealed license even being a thing.

look up and see the point im making going over your head. This whole thread is about a $72 carry permit. Yet how many of yall are up in arms over paying thousands of dollars, against your will, in taxes just to work and live in this country? I had to pay over 2 grand to Floyd county in property taxes alone. Almost 30k in income taxes last year, and over 8k in social security tax that i have no choice in opting out or not and most likely will never see again. But go ahead and keep getting all bent out of shape over something you aren't even required to have and is nothing but a convivence to those of us that use them.

The RTKBA is the ONLY right specifically enumerated with 'shall not be infringed'. The only one. If you can't understand why a permission slip, or added tax, is UNIQUELY unjustifiable (compared to your other valid grievances) I don't know what to tell you.

At the end of the day, the only one you will answer to about a carry permit is the law enforcement officer questioning you about the gun found in your waistband or pocket during a lawful investigation. Good luck !

When my wife passed from cancer while still in her 50's , Social Security Administration mentioned to me that all her contributions from her many years of hard work employment would go into a black hole to pay for future generations of retirees and that none of it would go to either me or our children. Thanks.

Again with the dollar amounts I see. You can't fathom that it's about the principle apparently.
I'm not paying the government billions. And while I realize the current tax system is a cluster (like everything the government touches) I also realize funds are needed to operate the government(s). So, no, I don't view it as even on the same planet as 2A restrictions. And the only way you are going to fix your tax grievances, is with the 2A.
But if you don't pay any taxes even though you owe them and don't have a permission slip and have only unregistered/taxed NFA items... mad respect.

Yeap. Happens all the time. A lot of people dont know that if you SO other passes, you have to fill out paperwork to receive their SS contributions as well. Imagine how much of that just vanishes.
