Why do the stolen gun threads keep getting closed by mods?

I counted 31 guns on that list. Closing the thread effectively buries it. Seems like a disservice to both the original owner, & those who may unsuspectingly be in possession of stolen property.

It is stickied with means it comes up first in that section.
I’m sure LEO knows who bought then, a simple site search will reveal that.
ODT cooperates fully with LE.
However we as staff have no way to verify anything directly.
The owner of the shop has posted a list to check.
