OK, I am 6 foot 6 inches tall. That means I have to constantly bend over to use any sink to brush my teeth, to shave,squat to ****, bend over to get the top of my head wet in the shower and keep a close eye on ceiling fans...

so, when I had to stain the hand rail on the stairs and put it back up, I put the sum ***** up to a comfortable height for me. Kids can still use it, and actually like the height. However, my wife has not stopped *****ing yet!!

Simple fix, put that farkin thing back where it was. Plus I think there is a certain height requirement according to code.
