Was just wondering if some of you seasoned vets could give mranapproximatevalue on a Winchester 94 30-30. I can get a few more pics but it will have to be later tonight. Thank you in advance for any help.

Can't tell much from your pics.

When was it made?

TE or AE?

Is that rust, patina, parkerizing or bad light in your photo?

Stock and buttplate condition?

Is it a commemorative edition?

To be honest I don’t know a ton. I’ve gathered that it was made in ‘76, there isn’t rust, just some oxidation I’d call it, the stock is in good shape with no cracks, and not sure about commemorative years. I picked it up as part of a trade with a late 20’s Argentinian 1911 and don’t know much about either

Sounds like a farm truck gun.

Those 94s aren't rare, and sell well if priced to sell. 250 to 350 sounds like the range for a used looking 94 of that vintage. Bad time of year to sell a hunting rifle, lots of them in pawn shops for cheap this month.

Those Argentine 1911s do have a following, it should be worth considerably more than the rifle.

Thank you for your help. Sounds like I’ll be keeping it for the foreseeable future. I can’t afford to shoot it at $.75-$1.20 a round but it’ll look move on the wall I guess

Ammo is available 50 cent a round mail order. You do not bang away with a lever gun like you do an AR. They are not expensive to shoot. Enjoy it.
