I have been through every kind of boot there is. PM me if you want as I don't have the time to type the whole journey. I hate laces for farm work as I can't devote that much of my day to getting my boots on and off. Ended up at Rocky's. Square toe work boots. I felt like a pretender in cowboy style boots but I got over it after wearing them for a week. Most comfortable on and off boots. Hold up well. Do require some maintenance like cleaning and oiling. I walk a lot. Work a couple hundred acres daily. Including a lot of steep grades as I am in the mountains. My favorite lace ups are redwings. They hold up. I don't mind spending money on boots. Im in them too much to go cheap. Kinda like a mattress. 1/3 of your life on it (if you are lucky). Spend the money where you spend the most of your time. Buy good boots. Valero's are also good boots like Rocky's. Cheaper and some say they hold up even better but I'd say about the same.

Rocky boots are not my all time favs, or necessarily the most comfortable, but I have found that they are built to last. I have a pair that has been indestructible. I’ve been wearing them for well over 10 years. They just keep going. They don’t break the bank either.
