I've shot 12ga 3" mags that gave me a headache. Out of a Remington 1100 mag. I'd never thought the recoil would be that bad with a heavy auto. I'd shot them before and didn't have a problem. Rifles, 458WM 510gr solids factory ammo. You have to lean into the rifle before you squeeze the trigger. One time I was on one knee and forgot to lean into it. I slowly fell over on my butt. I just started laughing. Handgun, Double Tap 45ACP. A 15oz 45. It's not a range gun.....About 6 rounds and I'm done shooting that one for the day

I had a Remington 700 BDL in 30-06 for over 45 yrs and it kicked the hell out of me..Hated to sight it in every year before deer season..Nice thing was when I would take a deer down, I don't remember the kick..
