What's the harm in deleting the original and creating a new ad in the correct category? Is it strictly server memory space? Honest question.

It's considered an early relist. You'd be surprised at the number of users who will do that just to bump their listing.

That would seem to be counter-productive as the ad would now be under a different possibly incorrect forum. Are you going to move mine to reloading?
