Wtb vintage axes

All I can tell you is that it is a felling Axe in restorable condition. Without discernible markings it has little collectors value. It appears to be old, indicating better quality steel of days gone by. I might could say more if I could inspect it in person.

Just for thought, didn't Western knives mark their blades like this, as W47, etc ? My old Western Bowie is stamped W49..

House Handle Company can fix you right up. Soak that head in Coke or Vinegar to clean up the rust. Do not put it to a grinder.

Thanks Pop Pop, it's soaking in a vinegar bath right now.I really appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge, I will post pictures when restoration is complete.
