WTF? Is "ghosting" the new normal??

After a few idle years, I recently got back into wheelin'-n-dealin' here on the ODT, and one thing that seems different than a few years earlier, is how often people end a discussion or negotiation by simply ghosting, and leaving you hanging, till you finally figure out they're not coming back.
And it isn't just the newbs, I've had it happen a number of times from guys with lots of positive feedback, right in the midfle of perfectly amicable negotiations, which makes it all the more peculiar.
Anyone else seeing this more frequently, or am I just on a hot streak of jerks?

All this technology these days, people have gotten away from communicating with one another. First come, first serve. Just move on and don't take it personal. That's the best one can do
