didn't see a thread on this so thought I would ask the brain trust about their thoughts between the two. I like the left hand thread of the Xeno, but seems like the Rearden/Plan B has gained some traction. Both seem to be a wash as far as weight (adapter plus muzzle device). Costs are close enough that it's not an issue as well ($80 vs $140 for adapter, around $80/ muzzle device). With the new Xeno zero mounts, they have all of my threadings covered with Xeno. I assume the same for the Plan B (the only odd one that is a bit tough to find is 11/16x24 for the 45-70/Primal).

Currently have all of my stuff set up for Keymo as well as muzzle devices so may just keep going with the status quo. All cans are HUB. Only one barrel is P&W with Keymo so there is that. I may not change anything but thought I'd ask as I start to go further into the rabbit hole of "is there a better system". I have a couple more cans in jail now and keep rethinking my Keymo mounts. I've been swapping around a Dead Air Nomad 30 the past couple of years on a variety of rifles with zero issues. My main reason for considering a change is if the Xeno or Plan B might be more repeatable/accurate, and weight. The Xeno and Plan B are right around 4oz (adapter and 1/2-28 brake) vs 8.7oz for keymo. Saving 4oz out at the end of the rifle might be kinda nice. That's the difference between a regular and ti can right there.

A couple of random thoughts related to my setups- I do have at least one barrel/upper that is a 13.9 that is pinned and welded Keymo muzzle brake and another 13.9" that is a suppressor specific barrel that I had thought about P&W another muzzle device with a dedicated can for this one (since the gas port is pretty small and it doesn't run reliably without a can (FCD/SOA collab barrel w/ small gas port)). Currently have 11 centerfire rifles with threaded barrels (and all except 1 have keymo muzzle devices- FCD, NOX, DA, etc). Most are 1/2-28 thread, a couple are 5/8-24 and one odd ball 11/16-24.

Right now it seems like Rearden is the go to for most things PlanB (and Q), Dead Air is main for Xeno but FCD and LMT are both making Xeno mounts now.

I’ve got a polo 30 I move around and used these guys titanium mounts and taper brake (plan b).
I’m happy with the weight savings and price so far.
if you need the weights or length of brake or mount I can weigh/measure it when I get home.
All of the muzzle devices have a pre drilled hole for p&w.
I don’t have any experience with xeno to give any comparison.

well...plan B is Q...It refers to the fact that most mounts are abortions. Plan B prevents abortions.

yes Plan B is Q. in spite on not Q fan I would consider the mounting system.

mainly was wondering if there is an accuracy/repeatability difference between the two. I've read a lot of Reddit about the two systems but in the past it also came down to who had the muzzle devices for your threads, DA was out of stock a lot of the times, but now more companies (and DA) are making more thread pitch (the Zero has most of them that I can think of) so that's a wash as well.

wasn't sure if there was anything new to consider between the two.

I'm team xeno, and the mounting system is dead nuts repeatable on what I've tried it on. 2 precision built ARs in 556, tikka t3 in 5.56, and both my bergaras in 6.5 CM and 300 PRC. I run my nomad L Ti with just flash hider mounts.

The drawback because there always is one. A very heavy firing schedule will carbon up the tip of the flash hider and it will catch on the adapter when removing the suppressor. I've never had one get stuck, but it's something to be mindful of.

I get the reason for the left hand threads on the Xeno, but for my use case I'm not a fan. I move stuff around a good bit, and want to be able to turn the silencer and make sure everything is tight. With the Xeno you spin the silencer to the left and you can loosen the muzzle device or hub adapter up. I know there are ways to mitigate the issue, but id rather just have one direction to confirm snug.
