Yay or Nay?

Does sound good ... but (correct me if I'm mistaken) doesn't Mil-Spec Bolts have some specification-necessary chrome plated parts? I know from the days of DIY automobile engine rebuilding, chromed rings and other chromed parts were always used in contact with non-chromed surfaces ... not to save money, but out of necessity: otherwise parts would not "break-in" properly.
one surface (the harder one) wearing into the less hard surface, thus insuring a tight and workable fit.

Further, I also recall a posting from the past that involved too heavy of a NiB coating that resulted in periodic battery lock-up failures with certain (and unpredictable) commercial / reloaded ammunition types(?)

Thanks for any clarifying information that you can provide!
