Answer honestly when asked and thats it for me.
Your experience will depend on the officer. A good friend of mine (mid 60's) was pulled over for speeding, he showed his CWL with his DL and (like Taco) announced "I have a gun in the vehicle" to the young lady with the badge. She place her hand on her gun and lost her mind. She was screaming her head off at them while she removed him and his wife from the car and hooked them up for her safety while she ran the numbers on the Nighthawk. I was following them to the meeting and pulled into a parking lot just past where they were pulled over and watched the whole thing. I was shocked when the officer flipped out.
Sure they were let go and the pistol was placed in the very back of the car with the mag empty and separate from the gun. Waaaaaaay over board, but "the officer has the right to do what they think is necessary to assure their safety." This is what they got when they filed their complaint.
I'll take my chances with a cop flipping out for answering a question I'm asked.
