You get pulled over by a LEO....

I was doing a lock out job one time in peachtree city. The officer stopped me thinking I was breaking into the car. Well long story short he cought on that I was a service provider. He asked to search me and I told him sure. Sure enough he finds my gun. He becomes pissed FAST. "WHY THE PHUCK DID YOU NOT TELL ME YOU HAD A GUN". Um you did not ask? Some LEOS will get pissed if you dont tell them right off. Its not illegal to not tell them unless they ask.

HA HA I'm thinking this would have been a good time to let him know you had a gun instead of letting him find it with a search. I mean, I'm just say'n.
The only reason he wanted to search you is the tat! Dang Pinko Commies

A few months ago we left the range and my buddy was in his wife's car and he gets pulled over an expired tag. The officer see's the holstered gun on the seat and of course takes it and runs the numbers. Is an expired tag probable cause to run the gun serial #? If he had a dvd player in the seat would the cop run the serial #'s on it? How about a laptop on the seat? Maybe the GPS on the dash?

Just to be honest and not at all being a smartass. If I were a LEO I would not feel threatened by a GPS or DVD.

They are trained extensively based on real life threats and scenarios from on duty experiences. Officers have been engaged AFTER they return to their patrol car to run you thru the system.

Like us, they are basically just wanting to get home alive.

I also do not volunteer info, but I do put myself in their shoes

I could have but he told me to keep my hands up and to be quiet. He had a major attitude. I figured id keep him on his toes ;)

Taking your gun, and running the numbers is total BS. If the officer feels threatened by the presence of a firearm, then by all means, have me get out of the vehicle, and seperate me from my firearm. I know I don't feel safe with some leo grabbing my loaded gun, and trying to unload it, or otherwise operate it.

"Okay, Mr. Smith," the cop says, "I see your CCW permit. Are you
carrying today?"
"Yes, I am."
"Well then, better tell me what you got."
Smith says, "Well, I got a .357 revolver in my inside coat pocket.
There's a 9mm semi-auto in the glove box. And, I've got a .22 magnum
derringer in my right boot."
"Okay," the cop says. "Anything else?"
"Yeah, back in the trunk, there's an AR15 and a shotgun. That's about it."
"Mr. Smith, are you on your way to or from a gun range...?"
"Nope."
"Well then, what are you afraid of...?"
"Not a damned thing..."

Hehe, my names not Smith oh wait you were being hypothetical, I see now. :)

Actually that pretty much describes my typical daily loadout except substitute a Para-Ordnance P-14 with 2 spare mags for the .357 and the location of the derringer and you've got it. Even carrying all that, it's still easier than carrying a cop around where ever you go. Don't forget the ammo for the AR and Shottie, the AR gets 8 mags in a tac vest, the shottie an even 50 rds in a carry bag. The shottie is for the wife, it compliments her M92FS Beretta and 2 spare mags quite nicely don't you think?

If things go bad, I might be out-ran by the BG's, but I don't plan on being out-gunned.
