Got to talking trade with a fella and this come up. So, I’m deferring to the experts?

Where are all the SN locations on an Yugo SKS?

Stock, bolt, trigger guard, receiver. What am I missing ?

serial number marked in eight locations. The first six are visible with the rifle fully assembled:
Left side of the receiver. (Note this is the only place the letter prefix will be found)
[Broken External Image]:
Left side of stock neat butt pad
[Broken External Image]:
Back of the top cover
[Broken External Image]:
Top (or left side) of bolt carrier
[Broken External Image]:
Bottom of trigger guard
[Broken External Image]:
Left side of magazine
[Broken External Image]:
The last two locations are not visible unless the rifle is disassembled
Left side of bolt
[Broken External Image]:
Bottom of gas tube near the front handguard hanger
[Broken External Image]:

Good luck!

Good stuff! You didn’t mention the rear sight. My rifle has a number on back of the sight when flipped up that doesn’t match. Or maybe it is not a SN#?

That doesn't appear to be the serial number but that is all the information I have for you buddy. I don't think I would worry about that number. If they don't exist on anyone else's it's pointless... could be the guys telephone number who owned it. LOL
