Yes but having the permit does not necessarily mean that they agree with the use of deadly force or that they even own a gun. I know women who have permits only because their husband made them get it, they are even scared of guns and don't know how to use one.

Yup. The jury is scared of the repercussions of their decisions. If they send him to jail, nothing more happens. If they set him free, it's not just the potential for upheaval, it's their own personal safety they would be scared for. People Would take it out on them.
