A snake question...

I never felt the need to kill every snake I see, even after growing up in Marshallville GA with rattlers everywhere, but especially now that there might be a connection between a lower snake population and the increase in ticks spreading Lyme disease.

GARDER SNAKE, eats insects, mice, and other pests...

It is a Garder snake and completely harmless.

The only snake I may kill will be a poisonous snake near the house where loved ones reside, and only because I am not comfortable relocating them. I don't like snakes, but see no reason to kill them. If the snake is poisonous and close to the house he/she is dead. I will not risk my own health to relocate them.

There are only 4 types of poisonous (venomous for the dickhead gurus) snakes in GA. Rattlers, water moccasins (cottonmouth), copperheads, and corals. If you see any of these, you will probably know it. Otherwise you are fine.
