hey poop head, hate to tell you but general aviation aircraft don't have most of the things you listed lol they don't have any coil, have a battery but that's really just needed for the starter and you don't even need it. the engine uses magnetos and that is plural as in two of them.... just...
  2. Anyone playing "The Long Dark"?

hey poop.... I really don't expect a reply as I'm guessing by now you realized your not much of a mechanic and certainly not an aviation mechanic. poop such a fitting name

  4. Anyone playing "The Long Dark"?

sounds like a truly boring game. emp???? 7. Shotgun/rifle combos

nice to see you revived this old thread.... the savage 24 was a very nice little gun that never got the credit it deserved. long ago I got an old one, not sure how old but pre-68 as no serial number. was .22lr over 410, I wanted a little more so re-chambered to .22 mag. now this I love.... every...
  8. Pump shotguns can jam

wow, everyone completely off topic from the start. the original poster said MOSSBERG!!!! and a model 500 no less. as a former gunsmith for over 45 years I refused to work on these guns.... there's a reason you can buy their two barrel combos at a third the price of other shotguns. I was lead to...
  9. Makarov P-64 good for carry?

I'd like to add my two cents worth.... as an old man, with a huge collection of firearms, retired gunsmith, who can afford any gun I desire....... look at what the guns made of, forged machined metal. as such it will last your life time and more. I have to ask you: if you went to a nice up scale...

  12. Sabotaged collection

yes one for sure, back about forty years ago. it was a Czech 98 mauser I picked up in perfect condition. I doubt it had more than a couple of rounds thru it. got to remember surplus guns flooded the used gun market. picked it up for about $125. I got it to build a custom .458 win. mag....... an...
  13. Elmer Keith: 1899-1984

took me awhile to get it together to write this, kinda tears me up a bit to talk of Elmer..... he was a long time friend, got me started and coached me in long distance hand gun shooting. good drinking buddy, omg could he put away the whiskey, spent many hours talking guns, hunting and shooting...
  14. U2 out of Robins AFB?

give the guy a break..... the current version u-2s does look like it has two engines if you don't know better. they are really under wing pods. and they do have a very nice rate of climb...... 15,000 feet per minute is not too shabby.
  15. Looking to Anneal Brass in North GA

old school..... set them in a shallow pan of water and a propane torch, heat them then tip them over with a screw driver. fast easy and cheap. can do a several hundred in an hour. hold the torch right and you can heat the outside of the case on one side and get the inside of the mouth on the...
