  1. Home Brew AR Lube & AR Lubrication

My home brew includes the tranny fluid, then 0 weight synthetic motor oil as main ingredients. After those two the few others are just minor I want to get rid of. The tyranny fluid colors it to an ‘Ed’s Red’ hue.
  2. 380 ammo choices

I go for reliable cycling as 1st priority. Of course I have the usually HP options loaded up much of the time. I don’t mind the FMJ either, simple RN. I even have some light copper bullets from Lehigh Defense loaded up. I’m thinking gang-banger type’s don’t worry much about ammo selection...
  3. Small Rifle Primers in stock at Brownells

$83 + the hazmat, kinda the ballpark price now. Out of stock anyway.
  4. Rifle Ammo

Start with reading a reloading manual. Once you get going, begin with an easy, forgiving cartridge, like 38 Special.
  5. Stuck case

Yep, been there also. I have a Lyman stuck case removal kit, works rather well. Besides mention of lack of lube, other factors can be the type of brass, then fit into the shell holder. At times I’ve improvised with a shell holder that wasn’t ideal for the case. Why would I do that you ask? I...
  6. Item Gone: WTB Browning A-bolt II Micro Hunter

They became somewhat scarce. My very favorite is a ‘Micro-Medallion’ in 284 Winchester. Another is my Micro-Hunter X-Bolt in 7mm-08. With cold weather & winter gear, I prefer compact guns.
  7. Item Relisted! .41 Magnum Lever Action Rifle

I’m getting around to emailing Henry about a run. I’d be a customer also, 20” Henry lever. I have 3 , 41 mag handguns, no problem feeding them.
  8. Classic wheel gun porn....

I bought a Colt ‘Cobra’ from the 50’s last week. It has a few issues, I’ll get it up to snuff.
  9. Guard Dogs

How would someone do this? For the most part, dogs bark at strangers, maybe strange noises. Let’s say dogs barked endlessly, besides ‘false alarms’ I don’t see how it’s a dinner bell to miscreants. Then we have various levels of barking. A dog could be barking into the night over a strange...
  10. Guard Dogs

We’re dog people anyway, so having a German Shepherd is as normal as a cup of coffee, taint afraid of some dog hair. I’m not trying to get any mean dog, we live in an ultra-low crime area. Yes, I realize, randomness can be anywhere. That all said, no one is gonna surprised me, she may not...
  11. Only in Washington State

My question is this, what does testing do for anybody? I think I had Covid twice, 15 months ago, then 3 weeks ago. I never got tested, just did the usually stuff, rest, hydration, etc, of course I stayed home too.
  12. Cleaning rust off reloading dies

Yes, treat dies kinda like a firearm. After use, when going back to the storage box, clean then lightly lube. I may take them apart, use a pipe cleaner if required.
  13. Safety Question

Your impact puller will work, just tap on a cement floor. I use that or the collet type puller on the reloading press. Depending on the bullet shape it can be hard to get a grip with pliers or a collet bullet squeezer, like Hornady.
  14. Looking for a 300blk trim die

I see a Redding in stock at Midway, at least one Lee on eBay. Are you looking for a certain brand? Between the main sellers on the net, Midway, Grafs, Brownells, then eBay one should be able to find most any die.

  16. Trappers in Georgia

I bagged this guy in the back field today, to many around. It was 2:00 in the afternoon. I also saw a fox about 3 times, left him be. I have one of my prairie dogging rifles sorta ready, 223 Browning, Zeiss scope.
  17. Let’s see your reloading stash!

Yeah, I guess big brother is taking notes.
  18. What 10 mm for my back country hunts?

Just a few comments, these threads about bears can go a bit long, that’s ok. If around Yellowstone or Glacier Park, one needs to pay more attention, step it up some. For most of the black bear areas in the rest of the lower 48, the risk goes down a good amount. Of course being ‘gun people’ most...
  19. Trappers in Georgia

I used to trap a fair bit years ago, now I only assist a relative at times on the line. We have a camp with some ponds, the beavers are always plugging the pipes, ongoing effort. With the price of furs down, some furs get tanned for another relative to make crafts with. I was more of a water...
  20. Let’s see your reloading stash!

I got some supplies at a shop last Spring, not to bad on the prices either.
