Almost any bump helmet on Amazon with Arc Rails will come in at about $40. If all you are looking for is basic bump protection, ear pro and night vision mounting, that should serve you fine.
Ballistic helmets cost significantly more and you will need one rated for the round you shoot in order...

Just wanted to bump this now in the lead up to the election. I have had lots of time to test these with a team since the original post. They work great out to 600 yards, no molle space taken up, and they mount to helmets very easily as well.
Also, they are basic RFS radio so they communicate...
Try to find 3 shooters near you. Shoot together and hangout a bit. 4 trained dudes can cut down a lot of trees.
From personal experience, people near you that reload are a great way to find what you are looking for.
I can't speak for anyone else's experience, but the sound quality for me was the same as using a Motorola handheld unit. Better than the throat mics or bone conduction mics. It's very basic, but $40 for a cordless unit that I don't have to pouch on a belt or chest-rig is worth it.
