    I run this set up with an extra battery bank... seems to be working well. But I also have a back up Gas generator for the rest of the house if it's a long term power down.

    Depending upon the size, they do great for camping or emergency short term with only limited power needs. Long term or need a lot of power, then probably not the best solution. Also can do well when needing to be quiet.
