    300 Grain 44 Mag Loads - Subsonic?

    Got a pile of Hardcast 300 grain WFN 44 mag bullets (.430) that I’m wanting to load subsonic for my suppressed Henry X. I’m usually shooting 240 grain so some help with the 300s staying subsonic would be appreciated. WLP primers are a given.

    Is the massively empty case not an issue? I typically load 2400 in my 44 at higher volumes that 6 gains. Seems the powder shifting could cause issues? Detonation?

    Thanks. I’ll be running these from a rifle, so the tested 7.5” barrel is about 10” shorter than my Henry. Should still be good at that length.

    Anyone hand loading 44 MAG for a suppressor? Utilizing 44 MAG cases but trying to download to 44 special velocity for suppressor use. Have a lot of Bullseye on hand. Anyone have a tired and true load with 240 grain lead projectiles?

    So what's a good suggestion for a good balance of clean and "less noisy"? Was looking at Power Pistol but read that it's louder than some. Bullseye is plentiful already but it appears to be dirtier than others.

    These will be mostly suppressed if it makes a difference in powder. I typically use Bullseye for my 115s but want something clean and quiet.

  14. 180 Grain 44 MAG Loads (Blue Dot)

    Hey folks, not seeing much info outside of Hornady's 7th manual on this. 180 grain JHP (.429") over Blue Dot. Found a middle of the road load to try out of a 5.5" SBH (14.6 grains). Anyone else run something similar or Blue Dot and 180 grain projectiles?

    I use (if I remember correctly) 5 grains of Bullseye with a WLP and a 230 grain LRN. Very accurate in my 1911.

    How well does Unique meter? I had a horrible time with 800X in my 10mm, so I'm not wanting to go back to the days of weighing every charge. Large flakes?
