Thanks. I like the idea of synthetic (safer if it breaks and lighter weight) but I have a lot of rock up here and didn't want to take a chance on an unseen inadvertent rub and it break whenI really need it. -

After watching a bunch of YT reviews on various winches, I decided to go with the Rough Country Pro12,000lbs winch with 3/8” steel cable instead of synthetic rope since most of where I’ll use it has a lot of rocks to rub on. Fit perfectly and just have to finish running 2awg to the aux battery. -

Thanks everyone. I bought back in 1995 and it’s the only vehicle we have I can identify everything when I open the hood and can still work on. It’ll beat the fillings out of your teeth and with my busted up spine I don’t do much off roading anymore but it ain’t no pavement princess either. -

I bought a bumper a couple of years ago but it needed some reinforcing to make it sturdier, so I cut down the old bumper and welded it along the back to support the front swept wings and replaced the zinc hardware with Grade 8. 2019 F-150 with 5.0 10spd tranny. Living in the mountains the transmission was constantly searching for a gear (upshift/downshift) until I installed an HP tuner and had my friend Tony load a custom tune. He bumped the horsepower up to 425 and changed the shift points and now it runs great... -

I can see the retro in the front grill (69-72’) but not the rest of it with the inward sloping rear windows. Hope they have the plaid cloth seats as an option like the old ones. -
