    Dang! Where have they been? Hooked up to a generator in Iraq in the desert? I've got a set of heavy duty like that which I bought in 1994 and they still look new. You'd have to cut the clips off and reattach them after but you could use shrink tubing on them to get a few more years of safe use.

    Used to see a LOT of old Subarus on the road, I mean a lot. These were early to mid 70's models and I remember seeing them up until the mid 90's.

    They do attract a certain demographic and/or occupation (teachers) it seems. I don't like them but I'm 6'2" and 260 lbs (need to lose about 40). The doors seem thin and tinny and they are not made for American males. I see a lot of them on the road so they must be somewhat popular.
