    Yeah I think many are too satisfied with lots of bang rather than precision. I'm more interested in consistency and reliability. I can't really believe stuff with that much variation is going to give either.

    I see the data .I am not an expert. But I damn sure don't reload that wide open . I do load different c.o.a.l. for different bullet weights and types but that seems like begging for function and accuracy issues.

    My Contender barrels are older so I can't say on them. I have the T/C Compass rifle and it is very accurate.

    Thanks again. I hear you on the good support. I use a big walking stick just about always. Ironically the deer I took was so close I didn't even get on the stick . (pun intended). Have you shot any hogs with your Contender? I plan to soon as I get the chance.

    Thanks . I shot silhouette a few times in the 80's with irons but back then didn't have a Contender. Now I need a little help. I've only taken 1 deer so far with the MAX but hope to get more.And hogs. I did shoot a .35 rem Contender that was not bad , just a loud muzzle blast.

    Looks like a great setup. What scope do you have there? I have a green dot on the .357 maximum. I've been considering a scope instead.
