Yeah I think many are too satisfied with lots of bang rather than precision. I'm more interested in consistency and reliability. I can't really believe stuff with that much variation is going to give either.
I see the data .I am not an expert. But I damn sure don't reload that wide open . I do load different c.o.a.l. for different bullet weights and types but that seems like begging for function and accuracy issues.
@tred1956 ,great looking contenders! I've shot a few in different calibers but those are really in a different league. I definitely have not had or fired as many as you but I like them and I ain't done yet.
Enjoy!
A great time once more listening to the 'concert'!
A big thanks to @Apollo ,@OttoMan and Mr&Mrs @imawoodsman . A big memory made for me and my grandson.
Thank you to @RHR for your hospitality and hosting!
Good seeing you @Hayata.
Great meeting @Gingerbeard Man and @Ringleader and Angel and Mrs...
I shoot virtually anything I get the opportunity to try. Can't really say I am uncomfortable with any. I won't say I am extremely effective with every type,
just adequate with some. I really enjoy and have shot many different handguns, even Glocks. I have shot a few that a HiPoint would...
Thanks again.
I hear you on the good support. I use a big walking stick just about always.
Ironically the deer I took was so close I didn't even get on the stick . (pun intended).
Have you shot any hogs with your Contender?
I plan to soon as I get the chance.
Thanks .
I shot silhouette a few times in the 80's with irons but back then didn't have a Contender. Now I need a little help. I've only taken 1 deer so far with the MAX but
hope to get more.And hogs.
I did shoot a .35 rem Contender that was not bad , just a loud muzzle blast.
