Yesssss. Any malfunction will take the wind right out of you.
Feel like I got complacent, havnt had an issue in so long I've been just snatching up the pistol and mags and going.
Removed the slide. Inserted the slide stop and a loaded mag. I cant force a round to hit the slide stop and there is no brass at all on it so I guess I'm going to have to run some rounds through these marked mags and hope that if it happens again its before the next match :suspicious:
Last week at a local match I had a malfunction and for the life of me I cant figure out how it happened...
Springfield LW Champion Operator
Wilson Combat 47 "Bureaucrat" 10 round
Winchester Whitebox 230gr FMJ
After firing the 9th round the slide locked back. I looked into the breach and...
I don't know how many full power loads it takes to destroy a good scope but I've been using a Nikon in regular Weaver "336" low rings screwed to the top of the receiver for years. The setup seems to be more resilient than my shoulder. No issue at all
We all have our price points of "expensive" but it was a huge step for me to trade in my $400 M&P45 for my $750 1911 as EDC and it's finish is starting to show the results of that decision... But it's well worth it to me knowing that I'm carrying the pistol I shoot wayyy better than any other.
I have owned and carried them in 45... In back yard testing they preformed well enough for me to carry them till I thought they were old enough to warrant shooting up and moving on with my life
