If you could only have one, which would you choose and why?

I'm a dyed in the wool 1911 Addict... but for me it will always be the SiG P220. Lighter, just as accurate, will eat anything I feed it no matter what, and goes BANG every time;

Dirty,
Muddy,
Wet,
Missing parts,
Hasn't been detail stripped in 10,000 rounds... Will still go BANG every time.


.... But I still keep my Specialist Commander w/ TLR-1 in the nightstand every night and sleep very soundly.

Its a tank and doubles as a hammer. Like a methed out prostitute, it is ready to go bang or take a hit when you need it too...

Glock in any flavor. It's relatively cheap (except on ODT ). Parts are available everywhere. The slide can be completely stripped in less than a minute, lower in a couple more. And I've never had one that didn't go boom with quality ammo.

You realize that I'm not talking about a field strip. I'm talking about disassembling the entire slide. A 1911 can probably match that time on the slide, maybe or maybe not on the frame. I was just offering my opinion. Sorry you don't like Gaston.
