  1. What about 5.45x39?

Hey y’all, I’m a huge fan of the AK74 platform, but for the life of me, I’ve never seen anyone outside of Russian companies load 5.45x39. Where is our source of ammo going to come from? I fear this is going to murder the ‘74 market.
  2. Might be selling my Fitz special.

Add an extra 0 onto that and and a comma between the 1 and all the zeroes, and I'll definitely sell it!
  3. Might be selling my Fitz special.

I'm thinking probably not. But if you want it, feel free to make me an offer.
  4. Might be selling my Fitz special.

I've always had a soft spot for Fitz guns but no hope at all for owning an original. Hence why I made my own out of one that has no real historical value. I could afford it and I didn't hack up a piece of history.
  5. Might be selling my Fitz special.

It would be cool for sure, but there's no good reason to hack up a 1917 unless it is in truly sorry condition. I only did it to this one because it's from the late 60s and has no historical provenance.
  6. Might be selling my Fitz special.

I don't have an expectation for what it's worth. I'm genuinely curious.
  7. Might be selling my Fitz special.

I'm debating on selling my Fitz special. It started out as a 1967 detective special and I did all of the work (bobbed the triggerguard, hammer, and ejector rod) by hand. VERY carefully. And it came out very nice. Took it to the local gunsmith and he was impressed. The timing and lockup are just...
  8. Classic wheel gun porn....

1949 Smith and Wesson Heavy Duty 38/44
  9. Vintage handguns and those who still carry them

Haven't shot her a whole lot. But she shoots good. I've had no trouble hitting what I'm aiming at.
  10. Vintage handguns and those who still carry them

Picked up a Walther P1 the other day. Been toting it around in a shoulder holster.
  11. Colt Python Fitz Special?

Been there, done that. 1967 Colt Detective Special. If you do choose to undertake this, be aware that no alcohol can be consumed during it. You will need the steadiest of steady hands, a vice, and, at clumsiest, a dremel with sanding and polishing wheels. Be ding dang sure you follow the contour...
  12. Classic wheel gun porn....

1967 Colt Detective Special. Little ragged when I bought it. Perfect candidate for a Fitzgerald special conversion.
  13. Vintage handguns and those who still carry them

    Recently went old-school gunfighter.
  14. What is the dumbest thing you've seen/heard in a gun shop?

Heard a guy at a pawn shop tell a lady who was looking at a Walther PPK "James Bond used it so it must be good." He was completely serious.
  15. What is the dumbest thing you've seen/heard in a gun shop?

Went to that range one time. Never went back. Too many sketchy-looking people playing with full-auto guns when I was there.
  16. Krag aficionados

Decided to post a thread for people who like the old Krags. Pictures and background welcome. Mine is an 1898 model that has been very nicely sporterized. Even had the front locking lug modified so that both lugs engage properly.
  17. Vintage handguns and those who still carry them

Even if 106 years old in design only:rofl:
  18. Vintage handguns and those who still carry them

Recently started carrying a 1970 Colt Cobra .38 in a Smith and Wesson upside-down holster.
  19. Vintage handguns and those who still carry them

Speaking of pocket guns; I recently acquired and started toting a Beretta model 418 in 25acp. Not a smoking cartridge, but it's better than a .22 and is so small it makes a wonderful "get off me" gun.
  20. Vintage handguns and those who still carry them

Those little I-frames are hard to beat. Don't know why smith and Wesson quit making them.
