Was responding to the comment on a 2” barrel in 357 is inadequate & uncontrollable. If you watch it’s about the Ruger lcr 357 & at 17oz 1700fps (gf uses Win 110gr hp) & 400lbs.
380 on the hiking trail is too small whatever make or model especially with all the murders on the Appalachian trail.
It’s hard chrome don’t think anyone went to a lot of trouble (sand, nail polish etc.) to appear stainless. I only have Belgian but nothing ever left Viana in stainless., shoot the daylights out of it but no hollow points.
The 357 lcr upper is 1/2 steel compared to the other calibers that are aluminum. We’ve been to the farm 4x last yr. Each time at 9’ she put 5 rds.of 110 gr. hp 357 in the siloette with temp pain but she said np if she has to use it. Trigger is butter vs.the 642. Not a range toy but if she misses...
Shallow comment incoming:
Vaguely remember there’s a video out of some pd depts. going to 9 cause their female officers couldn't shoot larger caliber’s accurately - recoil, grips, etc… to any female pd here I didn’t produce it.
Was just making a joke but that old grandpa can probably outshoot most of us on here & proves it every week. Sure he gets free ammo but 85% of his videos Ive seen are his rare antiques that he acquired while teaching English & his friends laughed at him for buying impractical stuff that’s worth...
Same thread - “receiver cracks after the 6th shot” compared to a Remington? So we’ll made the last 20 years (self firing recalls, mismanaged, bankruptcy)
