Take the U-shaped spring out with a pair of needle-nosed pliers
Take the flat head screw off the magazine release - catch the keeper on the other side
Drive the pin out from the sear (mind which way it went in)
Drive the pin out of the trigger
All of those pieces are very readily available in...
So, take it at face value because it's not me sitting behind the chronograph, but below are links to 9mm loads and 357 sig. Look - I'm not against 357 sig - it's my round of choice (G32 and had a G33) - but obviously some are measuring 9mm velocities close to that of a 357 sig round. Getting...
Is getting 9mm +P or +P+ an option for you? Some rounds of +P+ are at the same muzzle velocity as 357 sig. Same projectile. You'd still be paying a little more for the increased load, but you'd still have your same pistol.
Ahhhh...that's it...you want another pistol! Sorry!
Started life in 1944 - built by Birmingham Small Arms (Shirley) (BSA-Shirley). The "M/47C" stamped on the collar is the "war code" for BSA Shirley, then of course the date code and serial number.
The stamp on the receiver is No4MKIIFAFTR - so basically "No. 4" "MkII" FA = Fazakarly, and...
Not for the SMLE (No.1 Mk III or whatever) but rather for the No.4 Mk1, 1*, 2, 1/2, 1/3 (or whatever - basically the "No.4" series). The SMLE would have a larger safety groove and a more triangular cutout for the butt plate tang. Also some different cuts underneath the butt plate.
Not a bad...

Apex, Numrich, Springfield Sporters, eBay... look all over the place. I'm happy to help you look, but as a warning, if you're going from a sporter stock this is going to be an expensive project!
The Magpul X22 is adjustable down to a youth size ... and then it will grow with him. Of course you'd have to keep track of the parts unlike the one Poppa Mike is showing above.
Funny you mentioned your granddaughter's rifle. My first 10/22 was the one that I won on the giveaway day A couple years ago. My son quickly took that one over and I've been trying to build as nice of a rifle as his!
No. 4 Mk 1 due to the trigger hinged on trigger guard, and looking at the bolt head rail I don't see a slot so it wasn't made by Savage or Long Branch. Look for an "M47" on the wrist - side near your cheek if you're holding it up to your right shoulder. If you have that marking it was made by...

Father of two sons. Got a shotgun when I found out she was pregnant ... had to protect the family. Purchased a few Glocks after the first was born because I had to be able to "protect the family" at all times (i.e. carry). Purchased my first 1911 when my second son was...
This summer I took a coworker shooting for her first time (she was in from California). She's around 5' 3" and no more than 90 lbs - small. After letting her shoot my Kahr CM9 (and seeing that she was an impressive shot - maybe my instruction?!) I took my G33 out. She shot it with no issues...
