You can spend any amount you like. Most popular for target shooting is to install a lighter trigger return spring and enjoy.
For you purposes, I'd adjust the stock trigger to suit you and shoot it plenty before worrying.
Great to see some detail pics. 2nd variation AC 41 are observed in the 4833b-4527i, I have one in the c block. Apparently the most common 41 variation, around 70,000 made.
I can't see why everyone gets their panties in such a bunch over PSA. They churn out fun range toys at a lean price point. Let's be honest, that's what a vast majority of people use their guns for, even the keyboard commandos.
So if someone doesn't want to blow $2k to launch a few rounds...
Part of the reason for going 22; mid range quality std velocity should work for me, and far cheaper to experiment with than centerfire :) No plans to compete against anyone but myself.
I appreciate all the info, but this is really about me seeing which I can shoot the best. I'm about $450 into the used 10/22 with a Volquartsen hammer kit, so looking up to $550 for the bolt as it'll probably have to be new :)
One cheapo scope on hand, pick up something similar and I'll be set.
I looked at them, but not wood stocked, (I'm a traditionalist), and generally over the $550 max budget. This is for fun really, pretty sure all of them are inherently more accurate than me :)
Health stopped me shooting a few years ago, but I need to get back into it. So my goal right now is to do a little messing around with 22 rifle target shooting, not competition level, but with more accuracy than basic plinkers.
I have an older 10/22 target and want to pit it, and myself...
