I recently finished a rifle for a customer and took a new in box, unfired Vector Uzi 9mm carbine semi auto in trade for labor. He included 12 25rd IMI magazines.
Anybody know anything about these things? Are they junk or decent quality? What is it worth in the current market?
Thanks for any...

The aluminum is too soft and erodes way too fast with rifle use, also does not take the heat well. I would not recommend anything other than a stainless or titanium tube, with the 1st 2 baffles in 17-4 stainless and the rest in titanium. If the cost of the stamp and wait were not...
I have had both the 300wm and 338lm, same rifle. Armalite AR30a1 in 300wm. Was a joy to shoot, it got me past the mile mark at Arena with ease. Shot it all the time and loved it running 208 Hornady Amax or ELD over H1000. Accurate and easy to shoot. After a couple years, I managed to burn...
at a $900 budget, this will be the best you can do. Amazing optic at this price

Been using these for years, works wonderful.
Please remember to round the ends down to a ball. Shoving a sharp fresh cut sharp tool steel rod into your muzzle is a no-no.
Mcmaster has no issues selling direct to individuals.
Greg, you do realize that CERAkote is a CERAmic / epoxy based coating. It will act the same as the ceramic header paint, but will do it better, look better and be more durable.
Go ahead and try the header paint, It should work fine. If you don't like it, the paint can be easily removed by...
I agree with this 100%! I can't stand ALG triggers, and you probably won't either if you prefer a 2 stage. All my AR builds get a Geissele G2S or a Larue unless something better is spec'd. The Larue MBT-2s is on sale right now for $99 if you take the "I can wait" option. That is currently...
Good prices directly from Green Mountain. I have had nothing but good luck out of their barrels, exceptional quality for the price. YMMV, lots of negative comments on the web, but it is still my favorite go-to cheap option.
I have the 5-25x56. I love the robustness of the optic and turrets. It is a good scope, but the glass quality and eye box is lacking a bit. I feel that my Vortex PST optics are on the same level as far as glass quality, that is not saying much. In the price range and magnification you are...
I shoot a 20" Colt H-bar with a 1/9 twist also. I hand load for my fast twist "tactical AR" match rifles, but have been shooting the Creedmoor 69g TMK out of the Colt service rifle. This stuff shoots AMAZING out of the 1/9 twist 20"
My last build was a cheap savage action with a timney trigger and a 26" Shilen select match 260rem barrel in a Mcree g7 chassis.
During barrel break in with an untested "best guestimate" load shooting 140eld's it put 5 shots in 15mm at the 300y line at CMP.
That equates to .195 MOA!
So what...
I have an early Gen 1 6.5 Creedmoor that is one of the unicorn 1/4-1/3 moa rifles. It will only shoot that well with a big heavy suppressor hanging off the front of it i.e. Silencerco Specwar. Don't get me wrong, it is an awesome shooter and I have been praising it for a good while now. However...
I have built 2 of these and they are amazing for the price, holds just at 1 moa out to 300 yards.

I have a 16" Ballistic Advantage barrel, with pistol gas system with a pigtail gas tube, H2 buffer. I run 208-220 grain subs with or without suppressor, 110-125 grain supers with or without suppressor. It runs like a sewing machine and never has a malfunction. Recoil is VERY mild with the...
That was me shooting the 6.5 RPR at the CMP meet and greet. With a good custom load, a good optic and a Silencerco Specwar, it will shoot x's all day at the 600y line if the wind behaves and you do your part as a shooter. When all is well, mine is a 1/2 min gun at any distance out to...
If you would like to come out to the 200/300/600 rifle shoot at Riverbend on April 16th, I would gladly put you on my 308 bolt gun. If you do your part it will run at .5moa no problem, and I don't have a ton of money in it besides the optic.
