Had good experiences on gunbroker way back when...but one way to be sure is involve the FFL or gunstore on his end. Pay a few extra bucks to the FFL to have them verify the item before sending. Send them the funds as MO for the seller and they verify the item, ship and give the seller the funds.
I have an older Browning Hi Point I picked up years ago. Factory nickel with some unique original grips. Took it to my buddies place in Sutches to shoot in the back yard. I shoot Glock 19, Colt 45 ACP 1911's, and Colt 45 along with others. Never had a firearm feel so "natural" in my hand...
Over the last 25 years I had the means and desire to collect. Only picked ones that had special interest or to fill a specific role. Plan was to enjoy them and have them available as retirement income if the need ever comes up. Many have had serious appreciation due to my investing in quality...
Just returning the favor. You started it. Was a cool statement I had heard others use, agreed with it and felt it was appropriate for this thread. You had to be the smart ass so congrats.
Nothing to do with what I said......low IQ response......It's about how that fine piece of equipment FEELS like in your hand, not how many times JW used it...sheeesh!
And I do enjoy the feel of my colt 1873 SAA....just not my carry option.
Doubt you could afford either....just saying.
So I own a glock 19 Gen 3...was one of my first acquisitions. It has it's place. I own some 1911's...never had a jam, but then they are not cheap brands.
I ascribe to the adage "gripping a 1911 is like shaking hands with John Wayne". Says it all.
OK please refrain from the insults but....inquiring minds (mine) simply want to know. A number of folks recommend lights on the HD firearm. But doesn't that give the intruder a nice target to aim for? I would think the more stealth I would have with night sites and/or laser would be better...
PARS or INTRAC with the pharaohs head are always the higher priced. Finish is never very good on any of them. The Maadi's are allegedly the closest version to the original Russian AK. Tooling equipment came from Russia. MISER's....not so much.
Shooting Vepr's and Maadi's I got no use for a wasr or misr at any price....and I keep mine original.
5K is pretty delusional. He's probably been quoting what he sees on Gunbroker.
I discovered Vepr's years ago with a super vepr in .308. Amazed at the build quality and accuracy in an AK platform. Acquired more in several calibers back when no one knew what they were. Most still don't. Molet factory in Russia was top gun plant and these Vepr's are from there. With wasr's...
You can have your Gucci Glocks and all your fantastic plastics.....Love me some 1911. Colt, Ed Brown, Dan Wesson, Wilson Combat, Springfield, Les Baer.....got em all and love 'em.
Gripping a 1911 is like shaking hands with John Wayne!
Being a 1911 guy I tried out a Ruger 22/45 MK II to shoot cheaper ammo. Liked it so much I have several including the slab side competition MK II and a 22/45 MK II suppressed.....can shoot it in my back yard.
Go for it. These Vepr's blow wasrs and most of the eastern European knock offs out of the water. No contest! Fit, finish, chrome lined barrel, accuracy....
They are banned from import and if you can still get one for $999 you won't regret it. Only downside is the proprietary magazines but there...
A while back I became interested in the Garand. Being a sailor I ran across information about a unique series of Garands that were re-barrelled in .308 by the navy as they had surplus of .308 vs 30-06. There had been attempts to add some insert to the 30-06 chamber for .308 but it was considered...
Being a 1911 kind of guy I bought my wife a Sig P238 in .380. Was so impressed with it I got myself the P 938 SAS in 9 mm. Very happy with the accuracy and ergonomics.
Picked up the Laser Hit kit at a gun show for my wife to practice with her .380 Sig. Uses a laser cartridge, app that connects to your cell phone and a target. Excellent for dry fire control. Laser pinpoints your hits.
Slick little training device.
