  1. Dream rifles?

A Rigby Highland Stalker in 30-06 or 7x57 would do it for me. A matching Rigby Big Game rifle in .416 Rigby would be nice. The former is $12,000-$16,000, the later is $16,000-$22,000. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. Handgun for a Woman

I’ve found this can be quite a conundrum. Most senior women I have had try have varying degrees of difficulty pulling the slide back on small semi autos, and most I’ve had try simply cannot do it. That pretty much leaves revolvers and then trigger pull becomes a problem. I think I’ve seen...
  3. cherokee gun and pawn not doing ffl transfers

I spoke with CG&P a week ago and they told me they would receive an order but I would not be able to pick it up until May when thing re open. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  4. Upgraded a student’s M4

Yup, I know. Just prefer slim and less cluttered feel. Nothing against them, just personal preference after using one for a while. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  5. Upgraded a student’s M4

The DDV7 is my favorite AR. I have the Geiselle and have no regrets. I originally used the mlok rail covers you used in the photo but switched to the magpul mlok covers that cover more area after I found the rail got really hot after a lot of rapid fire. I rarely shoot with gloves. I don’t use a...
  6. Original Kimber of Oregon rifle -Vrs- New Kimber of New Youk rifle.

I can’t say for sure about the primers but since I’ve got a Winchester 70 that shoots less than an inch groups with the same lot of ammo, I’d say the accuracy is good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  7. Original Kimber of Oregon rifle -Vrs- New Kimber of New Youk rifle.

I had a newer Kimber 84M in .308. It was beautiful and handled like a dream. I had about 3 failure to fire incidents. I can’t say definitely it was the gun and not hard primers, but it was Remington factory ammo. I read online of a few complaints of the same from others. I did not get impressive...
  8. Ruger 77/22 Trigger

The Timney sear and spring kit works great. A huge improvement over the factory trigger. Instructions are good. One of mine took a small amount of light filing and stoning on the safety stud. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

I had forgotten about them. I'll call them tomorrow. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Need gunsmith recommendation

I thought so too but the more videos I watched the less I feel like trying. I'd try it in a $500 rifle but not on this super grade 70. I've had nightmares of glueing it in the stock or getting it mechanically locked in. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Need gunsmith recommendation

Hey everybody I need some input. I have a Winchester 70 Safari in 375 h&h and purchased a really nice super grade factory stock. I want to get at least the recoil lugs glass bedded, if not the whole action to eliminate as much as possible, cracking the stock. My problem is finding a really good...
  12. ATTN: Eastman Show Vendors

Years ago gun show were very enjoyable but now, all I see at them is over priced everything at 95 percent of the vendors. I'm guessing the only sales they make are to uninformed buyers. The only exception that comes to mind is Cherokee Gun and Pawn and I can go to their store without paying 8...
  13. A police Officer that's also a student escorted from classroom because he had a gun.

To start, I'm all for good citizens being armed anywhere. In the Whitman incident you cite there may have been citizens firing too and I'm sure the cops present appreciated having others on their side. But, those citizens were free to stay as long or as short as they liked. The officers could...

  15. SCAR 17 owners

What DinkyDau said. But, if your thumb gets whacked by the charging handle I promise it'll on happen once,......I know from experience. I put the Timney trigger in mine because I got a 50% off deal on it. The SCAR factory trigger was awful.

  17. To R.E.P.R or not to R.E.P.R that is the question.......

I've had 2 LWRC REPRs. They are the finest built weapons I've ever owned. Details were immaculate and function was flawless. They were also too heavy for my taste. Both mine are now gone but I'll keep my FN SCAR 17. It's lighter and for some reason seems to fit me better and I shoot it better.
  18. LWRC Upper - Why Shouldn't I buy This?

If you decide to get the LWRC upper I don't think you'll be disappointed. I've had 4 and still have 3 of them. I don't find the weight bad at all and really can't feel much difference in mine and my son's lighter SPR LWRC, especially after you ad all the sights, lights, and gizmos. The style you...
  19. Interarms Whitworth vs. Kimber

I have not owned one but have handled a few years ago and had friends who owned a few. They are a top notch rifle with quality Mauser actions. All quality steel and walnut. I've always wanted one but it just hasn't been in my stars so far.
