Hey everybody I need some input. I have a Winchester 70 Safari in 375 h&h and purchased a really nice super grade factory stock. I want to get at least the recoil lugs glass bedded, if not the whole action to eliminate as much as possible, cracking the stock. My problem is finding a really good smith to handle this task without having to go farther south than Marietta or having to ship the rifle. I can find tons of smiths that work on black or tactical stuff but I need a smith that knows his stuff on old stuff (wood stock). Last thing I want is someone jacking up a fine super grade stock. Anybody know a top notch old school smith?

I thought so too but the more videos I watched the less I feel like trying. I'd try it in a $500 rifle but not on this super grade 70. I've had nightmares of glueing it in the stock or getting it mechanically locked in.
