I would say your best bet would be to go to a gun store or range so she can handle them and manipulate them. I wouldnt discount a revolver either

I’ve found this can be quite a conundrum. Most senior women I have had try have varying degrees of difficulty pulling the slide back on small semi autos, and most I’ve had try simply cannot do it. That pretty much leaves revolvers and then trigger pull becomes a problem. I think I’ve seen someone state S&W makes one of their compacts that has a compact model that addresses this problem.

As does mine. Started her on the Walther and had issue with the magazine dropping. Got her the Glock and she actually enjoyed shooting it. Now just have to get her comfortable enough to move her up to the p365
