  1. Hunter Rifle "match" at Riverbend

Maybe if you screwed on a suppressor it would count? Safety first and all. It’s for the children.
  2. Shoot off championship!!!!!

Those transitions are like art man. Congrats on kicking ass.
  3. Recoil spring weights w/optics

To be clear, you really really want to go with a softer firing pin spring at the same time. In most guns, a Wolff 5.0 will work with a 13 pound RSA. Going down to 11 pound you’d want 4.5 FPS (or even lighter, but 4.0 may run into lite strikes on some primers) The reason for this: Firing Pin...
  4. Recoil spring weights w/optics

If shooting CO in USPSA or Steel, you owe it to yourself to give a 13lb recoil spring a try. You’d want to run a 4.5 Firing Pin Spring if going lite on RSA, for safety purposes. A lighter spring is a game changer, because Glocks are sprung for +P+ deathloads. Slide tracks so much flatter with...
  5. Busted cherry at GSSF

I love the outdoor matches, maybe I need to try the indoor league too. Sounds like fun!

    Going to Tallladega this year?
  7. Most Versatile Pistol for IDPA, Bullseye, Service Pistol, 2 Gun , 3 Gun etc etc?

Are modifications allowed (like aftermarket barrels?). What size targets are used? I thought about practicing and getting into BE competition; though one handed at 50 yards is heroically hard!
  8. Most Versatile Pistol for IDPA, Bullseye, Service Pistol, 2 Gun , 3 Gun etc etc?

    17. Right now I mostly fart around with GSSF. The sight radius is plenty good to whack stuff at 50 plus yards If one desires. I feel like the recoil and handling of a 17 are just plain perfect. After 14k rounds through mine, I’m biased ;)
  9. Most Versatile Pistol for IDPA, Bullseye, Service Pistol, 2 Gun , 3 Gun etc etc?

The 41 doesn’t really fit neatly into any competition I’m aware of. My philosophy is that you’ll also want to pick up another Glock besides the 19 to be married to if you get serious about any kind of competition. The 19 can definitely be used to win matches, but you don’t see top guys using...
  10. RBGC Action Pistol Match

The prohibition on hollow points doesn’t make much sense to me. JHP’s are ubiquitous in gun games across the country, second in popularity only to cheap coated. I’ve shot thousands of Precision Delta JHP’s as close as 10 yards without issue. http://blog.cheaperthandirt.com/range-dangers/...
  11. NRA Mid-Range (600yrds) Match (Monthy at RBGC)

I’m really tempted to bring my Savage .308 with it’s fixed 12 power scope. I’m confident I could do well, unless its windy... then I’m probably hosed  Are all shots at 600 yds?
  12. Riverbend Gun Club 5k run and gun

If the rifle part was all distance/ precision I’d be all about it. I’ve got limited AR skills. 40 Yard Pistol on the other hand, I’d love to do :D
  13. GSSF annual match videos

Yep, or at least breaking even with gas and ammo. Tallahassee here I come :D
  14. GSSF annual match videos

Looks like you won your first pistol my friend. Now prepare for the addiction to get worse. http://www.gssfonline.com/results/2018/2018cal.pdf
  15. GSSF annual match videos

This should be good for a prize, congrats on an awesome run!
  16. GSSF annual match videos

I was pretty disappointed in my performance. Ate a lot of C’s and D’s.
  17. GSSF annual match videos

There are no merit based prizes and no speed shooting component.
  18. GSSF annual match videos

    https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/gssf-griffin-ga-match.1659908/ Yep, ever :(
  19. GSSF annual match videos

You can shoot your 17C in competition class. There is a first place pistol awarded to both master and amateur shooters. I’ve seen matches where the winning amateur Competition score was actually slower than the winning Am Civ score! I sign up for both and use the same 17 in each. There will...
