  1. OTR Microwave install foul up

Not as far as I can tell, the stock holes are at the top of the bracket which isn't very deep. I need to pull the old unit out and start measuring.
  2. OTR Microwave install foul up

The spacer approach is attractive for its simplicity. Would you just use a strip where the bracket mounts or add one of the top as well? There's still the problem of drilling through the tile for the lag bolts and it will be through the center of the tiles so if they crack it will be visible. Ho...
  3. OTR Microwave install foul up

I have thought about that. The problem is the bracket will be over the tile, and I don't see myself drilling 4 holes through without cracking some :)
  4. OTR Microwave install foul up

I don't have a grinder and buying one would negate the savings so far :) Seems that some sort of thing for a dremel type tool is my cheapest option right now, if it's feasible.
  5. OTR Microwave install foul up

Do you have brand in mind ?
  6. OTR Microwave install foul up

I had a chance to buy a new microwave at a great price and bought it with thinking too hard, mistake ! I checked depth and width would fit in the space of the old, (24 yrs), one, but not height  So, the new unit is about 1 1/2" taller. There's a tile backsplash butting up against the...

@Kyzrsoze thanks for all the input, interesting stuff.
  14. Front door - repair or replace ?

5h Interesting option. I only hesitate as I think the hinge side frame has rotted and moved, so not just cosmetic.
  15. Front door - repair or replace ?

I'd be tempted to try myself except if it takes too long / cat gets out / run into problems the wife will make my life miserable.........
  16. Front door - repair or replace ?

    It's 36 x 80.
  17. Front door - repair or replace ?

If replaced, would the existing side windows be retained, or replaced as well ?
  18. Front door - repair or replace ?

I need to fix my front door. Over 20 years some wood rot in the frame, and it's developed some gaps. Beyond my skill set; would you repair or just replace the whole thing ? Had one guy suggest it'd be cheaper to replace and I've had real problems finding anyone to do this kind of repair work.
  19. Backyard gun range.

    Great setup.
  20. Frigidaire dryer burned wire

All I know is that if it's burn't twice and you can't diagnose the problem get a pro in or replace it. That's sounds like a very real fire hazard.
