    How the heck does changing out your grips cause your 1911 to jam?

    Good catch. Just goes to show that even a minor change can have an unexpected negative effect. Always shoot’em after you change anything so you don’t find out something is wrong when you really need it.

    Don’t use any gunsmith

    Had a bad experience with the "gunsmith" at the Gun Pro Shop trying to get a rail installed and I've never been back. Overpriced and not very friendly.

    Sand paper it and then put it on ODT for sale with "Battle Worn Finish". :p
