That, it would...however, HE is going to look fugly when someone is coming down the hall and he's banging his 23" barrel around trying to aim it at the bad guy...
So skip the tube extension. Barrels 23" and 24" are just too long to really maneuver around inside a building, going around corners, coming out of a room into the hallway, etc.
I'm guessing they don't still work on an M1A/M14, correct? So this would constitute the manufacture of a new magazine for legal purposes. Not that it matters necessarily right now, but in the (very unlikely) event of a ban, it could make a difference.
Very nice tutorial, btw, thanks.
I've seen that guys website and thought about the upgrade package he sells. Would like to get rid of the safety and change the follower, as well. And would like to do something about the loading spring, as it is a little stiff and makes rapid reloads impossible. I mean, really, my Rossi 92 has...
It's the first one I put together myself. I had a Del-Ton AR15 several years ago, but had it put together for me. I'm working on another PSA AR15...going for a carbine, this time, little more lightweight and simple...got all the lower parts and when I get it put together, I'm gonna pick out an...
Ok, finally got it done. I'm calling it my Designated Marksman Rifle AR15A4.
Started as a Black Friday sale PSA stripped lower. Ordered the 20" A4 kit from PSA (my designation, not theirs) and put it all together myself.
Matech BUIS for rear sight and regular old A2 front sight.
Scope...
Well looking cool is important, but I don't want to JUST look cool.
Gonna start looking at which Harris to get, I guess. Thinking the 9-13"...going to be mostly using it from the prone and less from the bench. And I'll look at that particular adapter, too. Thanks.
Ok, my ar is nearing completion. Just need a bipod and she's about done. Picked up a rail from another member here, so I have some place to put it now. Just looking for input on actual bipod choices and mounting options.
I know Harris is a good name and fairly reasonably priced, but I'd need...
Ya know...now I'm wondering...is free floating even necessary? Is it possible that my chrome lined barrel and relatively low powered scope more of an accuracy killer than the pressure of the handguards on the barrel?
Perhaps just a simple sling swivel mounted bipod would be sufficient?

Really liking this one...good brand, good price...doesn't look like it comes with a sling swivel, but I can add one, right?
Was expecting to pay $150ish for just the hand...
Not really. I have a Leupold 1-4x Mark AR on it. 20" chrome barrel. I will be loading my own ammo for it, which will help. It's essentially a plinker, but I want it to be a good quality plinker.
