  1. Airgun repair

A little help please. My grandson got a 760 pumpmaster pellet gun for his birthday (from Walmart). It has yet to fire its first shot. Maximum pumps reccomended is 10. But it builds up no pressure. I tried lubricating it for him, but same results. Not exactly a gunsmithing problem I know. Any...
  2. Winchester Trench gun

    Here you go. Well away.
  3. Winchester Trench gun

    Thanks guys.
  4. Winchester Trench gun

I picked up a Winchester trench gun model 97. Barrel has been cut to 18 1/2" or so (not the best job I've ever seen) and there is near zero blueing left. Wood is excellent. Bore has some pitting as well. Should I try to get someone to refinish it or just leave it be. I have very little in it so far.

It wont push down, or if it does, it just gets wedged in tighter. It looks like it got distorted at some point. Also, the magazine tube is smooth, so I dont know what turning it would accomplish. I got the plug out, and the shotgun cycles fine, so I'm letting it be for the time being.

I thank you all for your help.

Yeah, that's the way its supposed to work. But it wont turn. I guess I'm gonna have to look into replacing it. Any idea what that part is called?

Hmmm, I'm gonna have to look at that. Didn't seem to have only that one slot for the screwdriver. Is the only reason for it, to keep the spring from coming out when you unscrew the cap? It seems like this piece has more of a chance of becoming a projectile.

  12. Bersa .380 slide

You don't exactly fill me with confidence.
  13. surface rust

This is the problem I have. I've pretty much decided to go with a new slide, providing it will install without fitting by a gunsmith. But I will use this to practice on.
  14. Bersa .380 slide

So as you know, I aquired a Bersa Thunder .380 that has some rust on the slide. It's not a big deal, but it aggrivates the hell out of me. I got some ideas on how to remove the rust, and got a price on restoring and rebluing it. But a new slide for Bersa, is one third the cost of rebluing...
  15. surface rust

Since I posted this, I've read several articles saying to not use oil, but ok to use 0000 steelwool.has anybody actually used gun oil and steeel wool? Was it necessary to reblue afterward? Thanks for any suggestions.
  16. surface rust

I was really hoping somebody who has been playing with duracoat of wanted to paint something od green or some other hideous color would want to mess with it.
  17. surface rust

See, that last part about being careful is where I usually screw up. Thats why I would rather pay. And if you do remove the rust, don't you still have to reblue?
  18. surface rust

I have a Bersa Thunder that I just picked up, it has some surface rust on the slide, gun was mistreated by previous owner (that really pisses me off). Rather than sell it, I've decided to revive it. I don't mess with that stuff, so any suggestions? It will basicly make the gun unsellable, as I...
  19. single shot shotgun modification

Anybody have the talent to cut the barrel down to legal limit, and cut and finish the stock to a nice knob, a little shorter than gun pictured? If so, can you give me a ballpark price? Don't want to go too far overboard on a $100.00 gun, but would like a decent looking piece...
  20. Taurus pt92 grip screws

I got an after market set of grips for my Taurus pt92. But I can't get the top left screw out of the factory grip panel, because it has a bushing in it, to hold a spring in place. I'm notorious for buggering up stuff like this. Should I take it to a pro, or am I just missing an easy fix?
