I was thinking the same thing. It reminded me of when my grandmother and I would watch Bob Ross paint on PBS. Halfway through she would say he has ruined that painting, only to reply how beautiful it was when he was finished.
Great job man!
Looking forward to seeing the AR pistols. You do fantastic work sir! I've never been a fan of stippling, until now! This is definitely subscribed for later and I will be in touch.
What did you use?
Spray paint, nail polish, Duracoat, testors model paint etc etc
Pictures and how durable is the finish?
I don't think OP meant just Cerakote.
I traded into this a few years ago from another member. I bonded and sanded the stock. A base coat of black primer then 2 coats of Rustoleum olive green. I used 400 grit Emory cloth on the metal parts with a little oil to remove the rust. Then high temp black spray paint.
Build it yourself. It's easier than you think. I was in the same boat you were a while back and what made up my mind was when someone told me if you build it, if something breaks you probably can fix it.
But beware, it is addictive. We are collecting parts for our second one.....and third one!
