Never shot a 329PD...but have shot the 386PD and I own a 386NG. I bet that mother will have some brutal recoil. My 386 has brutal recoil at its 24 oz. weight with full-house .357's. The 329 will be meaner.

That might have been true 10-15 years ago...but new technology in bullets and powders have pretty much cured those ills out a snubnose. Speer 135-grain Short Barrel .357's are engineered to penetrate and expand at the lower snubby velocitys...and I carry them in my snubs.

Most of those '42' range S&W's are sort like that. Especially the new ones. The mechanical geometry on them is just a little off. I much prefer the exposed hammer '37' series or the shrouded '38' series. In fact, I carry a 1992-vintage Model 37 as my lightweight clothes carry.
