Hi all. I'm pretty sure the intake manifold gaskets need changing on my wife's 02 Tahoe, 175k miles.

Looking at various 'how to' write up's it looks like pulling the fuel rails can make the job easier, but I'm wondering if I'd need new seals for the injectors. I've also seen statements the manifold bolts need to be replaced as they have a single use rubber crush washers built in.

Any thoughts on what really has to be replaced ? Usually I replace seals / gaskets as a matter of course, but on a very tight budget at the moment, so reuse is the name of the game where possible.

I've never replaced them unless I've torn them or they were already degraded, just add a dab of petroleum jelly when reinstalling. Ditto with the intake manifold bolts, 323k miles and counting on my daily and I've had the intake off multiple times for a number of things, last being knock sensor replacement and no issues. Just be sure and give everything a good once over and torque to spec.
