Just saw 2 back in the thicket. Coulda shot the yearling but was hoping the big doe woulda gave me a clear shot but didn’t work out before they moved on.

If anyone has a son or daughter that is looking for a youth .243 deer rifle let me know. I have one I may post next week. It’s a nice savage axis with adjustable trigger and a scope . Great little gun. My son has outgrown it. He likes my savage 111 in 30.06.

I’m in! Messed around and haven’t put any meet in the freezer this season so I gotta try and take advantage of any opportunity I can at this point. Got an appt in town at 10 though, so I’ll have to be getting out the stand 8:45ish.
