10/22 Porn

Little bit Ruger and lotta bit not Ruger.
Deciding on scope. It's heavy so why not heavier like a 5-25x56? Squirrels at 200 getter maybe?

And if possible, get barrel mounted pic rail/handguard setup for the optic. That way it stays on the barrel and not the receiver. Helps a lot on accuracy.
Finally finished my 22 Charger Takedown rebuild. I love it.

22 Charger Takedown build w/ Franklin Armory Binary Trigger

In the beginning, there was
Ruger 22 Charger Takedown Pistol- Black Model 4924
Includes hard case, bi-pod and 15 rd magazine
Ruger 22 Charger Takedown With Bipod & Carry Case 10″ 15+1 22 LR MPN: 4924 UPC: 736676049240
$499.99 Original price was: $499.99.$394.99Current price is: $394.99.
The new 22 Charger Takedown Polymer Stock model weighs 3.2 pounds, retains all the features of the standard model and also includes the very popular takedown feature found on the full-sized 10/22 Takedown rifle. This feature allows the pistol to be taken down quickly and easily by simply pushing the takedown lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart. The polymer stock 22 Charger Takedown pistol comes in a custom carrying case for easy transport to the range. This unique pistol offers enhanced ergonomics, the BX-15 magazine and the takedown model employs the very popular 10/22 Takedown quick disconnect feature that allows this pistol to be taken down quickly and easily.
Pretty Cool! But we can make it much cooler
Challenges: Harris Bipods are generally pretty good, however, the one included is too short and barely raises up an extra inch with feet extended.
Solution: Source sturdier bipod with longer extendable legs. Quick release is a huge plus if you don’t use bipod all the time.
Challenge: Takedowns and Charger Takedowns aren't known for having the best repeatable accuracy, and 10” barrel pistol will make it even harder.
Solutions: re-adjust the takedown barrel tightening adjustment. Tighter the barrel to the receiver fitment, the less movement and less shifting of Point-of-impact, and less need to zero each time you shoot.
Challenges: Optic mounted to receiver, same issue with shifting point of impact
Challenges: No Picatinny or M-lok rail or mounting options for other accessories.
Solutions: Replaced forearm with Midwest Industries 8” Takedown Forearm. Gives multiple M-lok options including better bipod, barrel mounted optic instead of receiver, additional lights/lasers. Bipod not using swivel into plastic. Improved accuracy, repeatable results, or adding additional accessories.
Challenge: Usability and Reliability
Solutions: Auto Bolt Release, enlarged charging handle, extended magazine release, replaced metal bolt buffer with polymer/rubber for smoother and quieter operations, Volquartsen tune-up kit (new firing pin, new extractor, new springs), Sanded and polished inside receiver where bolt makes contact for smoother operation
Challenge: Cool, but?
Solution: Added Franklin Amory Binary Trigger, Luth-AR Chubby grip, Metal Picatinny adaptor for stock/brace, folding pistol brace, Tandemkross Game Changer Pro Compensator
Build list of parts:

McConan McConan thanks for the recap of your " build". Bug out ready 💀💀👊😎
Thanks! I read all I can on other people's build. Helps me try new things, educate me on where I might've went wrong, and what's fun. That's the point. It's a hobby for most of us, and the 10/22 is even more Lego "like" than ARs. I guess 10/22 is more Mega Blocks to ARs being Legos. I learn so much from reading, researching, building, tearing it apart again. I have me 2 MCK builds I'm trying to dial in as well. I love firearms being multi-roled.
