I sat 15 mins. Grutted 1 time and he came straight in.

He was a good sized 8 pointer, and my very first deer. I need to find someone with a good hound.

this is a deer i want to shoot in Walton.8 37 last night.Shot one like it last year with a 4 point right antler and 2 on the left.

Got in pretty early, waited on daylight and as of 7:30 I have seen nothing. Cloudy in Hancock today but nice day to hunt.

Whereabouts are you hunting in Hancock? I hunted last week and I saw a good bit of chasing and saw some pretty good ones at the cooler. Does it look like they're still running does?

Well, I had my crosshairs on the biggest buck I’ve seen in the woods to date. Hadn’t even made it to my stand. Had a doe come tearing through the woods and crossed right in front of me(20 yards). That reminded me I hadn’t chambered a round yet. Just as I do that, I catch movement to my right. 40 yards away. Of course right where I wanted to shoot was behind a tree. I had my crosshairs on him. Waiting for one stupid step. He stared right at me and then took off. I was sick.

Never found him. Gonna have to call it a lesson learned I suppose.
