I sure hope so. The thing is this mechanic isn't guessing. He found identifiable problems with the parts, so...Great news!!

Yeah, especially when it's actually been more like eight months. I got the boat last May or early June, immediately sent it with the first mechanic for minor work and this has been going on one way or another ever since. I've only had it out fishing one time that it was working properly.Let's hope your good to go,, 3 month of this chitt
Good to hear! It would be a blast going out on the lake with that. Let me know when you chartering.Okay, they think they found it... and it's not fuel related.
The second time they took it to the lake the first of two problems showed up. The "power pack" was bad and was causing it to crap out when it got to about 3000rpm. This is what I was experiencing. They replaced the power pack.
They took it back out again and the motor did not want to go above about 4100rpm. They discovered what looked like an attempt by someone to remove the flywheel that had broken it (gee, wonder who could have done that?) and replaced the flywheel.
They took it out a third time and it runs perfectly.
They even credited me $200 dollars on labor for when they replaced the pulse limiter, because it did not fix the problem. If this boat runs now, these folks have a loyal customer.
I'll update after I pick it up next week.

Nope. Good old carbs.Good to hear! It would be a blast going out on the lake with that. Let me know when you chartering.
If they took care of it sounds like the kind of people you want maintaining it. Too bad it took 3 attempts to find a good mechanic!
Is the engine fuel injected?
May want to keep ethanol-gasoline away from it then. Boat mechanic (not local) told me he has had to rebuild the same carbs because people ran ethanol-gasoline in them.Nope. Good old carbs.
No ethanol for this baby. Only 90 octane with no ethanol. I'm lucky to have a gas station less than a half mile from my storage that sells it.May want to keep ethanol-gasoline away from it then.
